Hosted by the iHuman Institute with strong support from ShanghaiTech University, the iHuman Forum has become a world-renowned academic platform in GPCR research and drug discovery, bringing together leading experts from the fields of membrane protein biology, chemical biology, and computational biology. Since its inception, the forum has fostered collaboration across academia and industry, and in 2024 it was officially incorporated into the 17th Pujiang Innovation Forum, underscoring its growing influence as one of ShanghaiTech’s flagship annual scientific events.

This year’s forum focused on four major themes—membrane protein structure and function, chemical biology and drug discovery, in situ structural biology, and computational structural biology and pharmacology. Dr. Yang and Dr. Zhu engaged in in-depth discussions with international scholars and industry researchers, sharing insights from the Lei Lab’s ongoing studies in structure-based drug design and GPCR signaling mechanisms. Their participation highlights the group’s continued commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine.
