We have designed a type of flexible dye-sensitized solar cell based on low-cost metal fibers as the substrate. This new design solar cell provides a breakthrough on the traditional sandwich-type flat cell structure and it is only TCO-less and in good flexibility, but also can generate power in two-side illumination. It allows scale production by means of weaving technology. At present, the efficiency of 1.50cm2 cell under one unit of sunlight intensity could reach 2.41% , no matter the light comes from the front or back.
