The 1st Tetrawizard Tournament!
The 1st Tetrawizard Tounament —— "Chemistry, Beyond the God!" was held on Nov. 16th, 2012. There were four teams, which contained 2 members of each team showing below.
There were three contests:
"师出有名": One contestant described a named organic reaction by its mechamism; the other would guess the name. There were 10 reactions for each team with time limits.
"疾风迅雷": There were nine questions for each team. Each of the 2 team members could answer it as quick as they can. Those questions contained completing reaction equations, understanding of certain reagents, and simple questions like IUPAC naming, abbreviation, etc.
"庖丁解牛": The two team members would solve mechanism for several reactions together.
After these three contests, there was one champing team: 周志尧 and 张嘉俊, one silver medal winner team: 杨天鹤 and 郝璞哲, and two third place team: 刘栋栋 and 姜延龙, 来旸 and 王元昊. Congratulations to them!
