In recent years, our group has accomplished research achievements in the structural control and functionalization of mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline polymers (MJLCPs) and MJLCP-containing block copolymers as well as the self-assembly of shape ampliphiles. For example,

1）Molecular design of MJLCPs and control of their liquid crystalline phases;

2）Construction of block copolymers using MJLCPs as rod blocks and control of their microphase-separated morphologies;

3）Studies on the properties of mesogen-jacketed polymers, such as birefringence of polymer films and electro-optic properties of polymers.

On the basis of the above achievements, recently many papers have been published in journals such as Macromolecules, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Society Reviews.
