Baitong was born and grew up in Beijing. His passion for chemistry took root during his high school years, leading to a deliberate choice to specialize in chemistry. Baitong joined the Liu group in his junior year and is now focusing on new monomers for poly(disulfide)s. Outside of lab, he enjoys painting, designing, and floorball.
