Xingjian grew up in Anqing, Anhui (安徽安庆市) of Eastern China. After earning his B.S. at Sichuan University, he decided that he wants to learn more about dynamic covalent polymers. He then moved to Beijing for his PhD at Peking University. His current research interest is developing novel controlled polymerization strategy for poly(disulfide)s. In his free time, he likes traveling and writing. He is also a student reporter in the News & Media Center at Peking University.
