The International Carbene and Nitrene Consortium (ICNC) is an association for the scientists working in the area of carbene, nitrene and related chemistry. The aim of this association is to boost the research activities in carbene and nitrene chemistry by bring the relevant scientists worldwide together. This Consortium was initialized by Prof. Chi-Ming Che and Prof. Michael P. Doyle in 2015. In the past years, the Consortium has successfully organized four symposia in the area of carbene and nitrene chemistry: 1st Symposium of Metal-Carbene Consortium (Hong Kong, 2016); 2nd Symposium of Metal-Carbene Consortium (Beijing, 2018), 3rd International Symposium on Carbene and Nitrene Chemistry (San Antonio, 2020), and 4th International Symposium on Carbene and Nitrene Chemistry (Amsterdam, 2023). The 5th International Symposium on Carbene and Nitrene Chemistry is scheduled to be held in Huelva, Spain in 2025.
