On April 30th, Prof. Hou Zhaomin from RIKEN, Japan, visited the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University at the invitation of Prof. Zhang. During his visit, Prof. Hou engaged in academic discussions with group members and offered many valuable suggestions. He then toured our lab under the guidance of Prof. Zhang and took commemorative photos with us.
In the afternoon, he delivered a lecture titled “Innovations in Organometallic Complexes and Catalysts for Advanced Chemical Transformations” at the Xiaolun Lecture Hall. He shared his recent research findings and insights, sparking enthusiastic questions and lively discussions among the faculty and students in attendance.
Prof. Hou, currently affiliated with RIKEN, served as Prof. Zhang’s postdoctoral advisor during his time in Japan. He has made outstanding contributions to the fields of rare-earth organometallic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and coordination chemistry.
We sincerely thank Prof. Hou Zhaomin for his visit!
