On April 26-28, 2024, Prof. Zhang and 8 members in CCREM group participated in the joint party building activities of organic and inorganic party branches of the Communist Party of China, College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering in Peking University. The theme of the joint party building activities is "Promoting the Spirit of Red Flag Canal and Inheriting the Red Gene". In the on-site teaching of retracing the Red Flag Canal, everyone deeply experienced the hardship of the people of Linzhou in digging the Red Flag Canal, as well as the heroic spirit of the people of Linzhou who do not give in, do not admit defeat, and dare to fight against the odds. The spirit of Red Flag Canal, inherited from the spirit of Yan'an, is an indelible historical memory of the Chinese nation.
