Welcome Prof. Lu to Visit Our Group

On Sep 26th, Prof. Lu Zhan from the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University, upon the invitation of Prof. Zhang, delivered an excellent academic presentation for teachers and students. Prof. Lu, who obtained his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2008 under the guidance of Academician Ma Shengming, conducted research on palladium-catalyzed oxidation reactions and visible light catalysts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States in the same year. After returning to China in 2013, he served as a specially appointed researcher and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University, mainly focusing on research related to low-cost transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric silane reactions.

The title of his presentation was 'Low-Valent Abundant Metal Iron and Cobalt Catalysis.' During the presentation, Prof. Lu shared the research and achievements he has made in the field of low-cost transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions in recent years, along with some insights into his research process. This greatly benefited the teachers and students in attendance. After the presentation, we actively participated in discussions and posed questions, enhancing the academic exchange atmosphere.

Finally, the teachers in attendance took a group photo with Prof. Lu. Guided by Prof. Zhang, he visited our lab and took a group photo with us. We would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Lu for his outstanding academic presentation!
