Born in 1968. In 1990, 1993, and 2002, he obtained Bachelor of Science, Master's, and Doctoral degrees from Peking University. From 1997 to 1998, Visiting Scholar, Department of Environmental and Toxicochemistry, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands; In 1998, he was a visiting scholar at the Environmental Analysis Department of the Dutch Energy Research Institute.
