Wgroup member: Guisheng Deng Postdoctoral fellow (2000.10 ~ 2002.9)
Email: gsdeng@pku.edu.cn
Dr. Deng came to join Wgroup in October 2000 as a postdoctoral fellow. His main project is the development of new synthetic methodologies based on a-diazo carbonyl compounds. He discovered Lewis acid controlled regioselective addition reaction of Ti(IV)-enolate to a,b-unsaturated carbonyl compounds. This work has been accepted for publication in Angew. Chem. He also developed a new approach to pyrrole derivatives based on the Rh(II)-mediated diazo decomposition. Dr. Deng obtained his Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University under the direction of Professor Xian Huang. Guisheng is now an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, Hunan Normal University, China.

Current position: Hunan Normal University; Email: gsdeng@hunnu.edu.cn

Final report for postdoctoral study: Lewis Acid Activated and Controlled Nucleophilic Addition: Investigation on Application and Synthesis of alpha-Diazo Carbonyl Compounds
