l      Preparations and properties of metal, alloy and intermetallic nanoparticles, such as Mg, Al, Ag, Fe, Co, Ni, Fe-Ti, Fe-Al, Sm-Fe, Nd-Fe and intermetallic compounds FeAl, Fe₃Al, Sm₂Fe₁₇ and Sm₂Fe₁₇N_x.

l      Preparations and properties of rare earth oxide nanoparticles, e.g. Sm₂O₃ and Nd₂O_3.

l      Preparations and properties of ceramic nanoparticles, including TiN, AlN, Si₃N₄ and c-BN.
