On August 12th, at the invitation of Professor Xi, Professor Kazushi Mashima from Osaka University, Japan, visited our research group. Several students presented their recent work to Professor Mashima, who engaged in lively discussions with them. In the afternoon, Professor Mashima gave a lecture titled "Organosilicon Compounds as Unique Salt-Free Reducing Reagents of Metal Compounds, Generating Catalytically Active Species" in room CB215, followed by active discussions with both professors and students.
