Chemical Biology, Natural Product Synthesis, Biosynthesis/Biocatalysis, Drug Discovery

  1. Using small molecules probes to dissecting fundamental cellular processes, such as programmed cell death

  2. Using a combined efforts of synthetic chemistry and synthetic biology to prepare complex natural products with significant biological functions

  3. Developing new chemical biology tools to explore complex protein structures and protein-protein interactions

  4. Developing the first-in-class drug candidates for the treatment of cancers, infectious diseases and auto-immune diseases
