Our group was established in September, 2020, and mainly engaged in developing density functional theory (DFT) methods for improving predictions of chemical reactions, material properties across system sizes (from molecules to solids). Besides, we also have interest in (i) developing novel quantum chemistry methods that can overcome the limitations of Kohn-Sham DFT, and (ii) going beyond the Born-Oppenheimer approximation to describe nonadiabatic dynamics. For potential applications, we will focus on applying our methods for elucidating (i) catalytic reaction mechanisms, particularly those that occur at interfaces, and (ii) chemical processes after photo-excitation. Postdoc or PhD candidates with the background of theory development or rich experience in computations in real systems are strongly encouraged to send their applications.
We have sufficient funding to provide competitive salary and benefits including housing subsidies, child education, health insurance, etc. Eligible candidates could also seek for support from Peking University and the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering.
