The development of printed electronic device, process and material technologies is attracting significant attention globally in emerging markets and applications that include low-cost flexible displays, printed RFID tags and wearable biosensors.

Printed organic electronic devices are not only lightweight and flexible, but they provide for manufacturing methods that are low cost and environmentally friendly through reduced capital investment in plant and equipment as well as higher material utilization and lower energy consumption.

Prof. Tokito will speak about the progress being made in furthering the development of flexible and printed electronic devices fabricated with printing processes on plastic film substrates at Yamagata University ROEL in developing printed organic thin-film transistor (TFT) devices, printed organic integrated circuits and biosensors as well as printable materials development.
