Research projects and interests:
- Biomedical applications of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (Bio-AMS)
Study of genotoxcity and assessment of carcinogenesis of small toxic molecules (e.g., nicotine, formic acid, MTBE, acrylamide etc.) by means of measuring DNA-adducts and protein-adducts with toxicants in vivo. Chemical mechanism of adduct formation studied by AMS-HPLC method.
- Chemical functionalization, biodistribution, toxicity and applications of fullerene, carbon nanotubes
Functionalization, distribution and toxicity of carbon nanotubes. Functionalization of carbon nanotubes, fullerene and nanocrystals for biosensor and tumor targeting.
